Acupuncture for Recurrent Miscarriage

Recurrent Miscarriage Support in Leicester

Around 1 in 100 women experience recurrent miscarriages, defined as three or more first trimester pregnancy losses. This can be an incredibly difficult and isolating experience. Many women who are eligible for testing often do not receive a diagnosis, with the cause often attributed to ‘bad luck’. As a result, many turn to IVF, which doesn’t necessarily resolve the underlying issues.

How I Can Help

I am passionate about offering support for women who have suffered recurrent losses. There is so much that can be done outside of the typical NHS offerings from investigations, lifestyle changes to supportive care, and I am here to support you on your unique journey. I work in an integrated way to provide comprehensive support, combining insights from both Chinese and Western medicine.

1. Personalised Consultations

   - I take the time to understand your unique journey, your cycle, your symptoms using . both Chinese and Western medicine perspectives to build a full picture.

2. Reviewing your results

   - I look at your existing test results and identify any testing that may have been missed. I can support you with whats available and help you decide what's worth exploring further.

3.  Traditional Acupuncture

   - Traditional acupuncture and moxibustion is used to regulate hormones, improve blood flow to reproductive organs, reduce inflammation, regulate the immune system and redcuce stress and anxiety.

4. Early Pregnancy Support

   - Early pregnancy can be a particularly anxious time for someone who has experienced recurrent miscarriages. I provide supportive care and acupuncture during this period, which is often when acupuncture can be most beneficial.

5. Lifestyle Recommendations

   - I offer lifestyle recommendations aimed at optimising both egg and sperm health.

6. Chinese nutritional therapy

   - I often recommend Chinese nutrition support based on your Chinese medicine diagnosis.

7. Expert Referrals

   - When appropriate, I refer to a network of recommended practitioners.
